Moment 2015

“One MOMENT can change one’s life.”

Moment 2015 is an annual forum connecting leaders of venture capital communities in the US and Japan to enhance support for global entrepreneurs and drive cross-regional innovation.

In the heart of Silicon Valley, there will be a once-in-a-lifetime encounter between thought leaders from the US and Japan, and opportunities to build a better future between the two countries.

Why MOMENT 2015

Silicon Valley has historically harnessed the innovative capabilities of people around the world, but until recently, Japan was seen as more of a competitor than an essential collaborator. However, Japan has been undergoing a transformation, with large firms beginning to embrace open innovation, and regulatory changes unleashing a fast-growing ecosystem of startups, venture capital, and networks of entrepreneurs. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe became Japan’s first prime minister to visit Silicon Valley, spearheading a concentrated effort by government leaders to work closely with the private sector and university research communities to facilitate mutually strengthening opportunities.

MOMENT 2015 is our inaugural annual forum that provides a platform for leading venture capital professionals from the US and Japan to come together and share expertise and experiences with each other, and with audience members as an anchor point to strengthen links between the entrepreneurial ecosystems on both sides.

Join us to experience the energy, dynamism, and boundless opportunities as we bring the two ecosystems together in a beautiful venue at Stanford University.

The US-Japan VC Conference MOMENT 2015 is proudly hosted by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC, World Innovation Lab (WiL), and supported by Stanford Asia-Pacific Research Center.
